Evening River Side Walk and Sunset
The walk along the Tungabhadra River from Virupaksha Temple to the Vitthala Temple is something I would highly recommend. Especially in the evening before the sun set.
Great spot to see the sunset with the main gopuam of the Virupaksha temple and the Tunghabadhra River with little floating baskets of people riding it.
The best part: You can totally skip the crowds which are usually at the prominent sunset spots like Hemakuta Hilltop.
Building the Hampi Explorer App
Hampi surprisingly had very little walking tours or anything else that I’ve come to expect travelling to historic places. Given the choice between solo-ing, trusting an auto-wala who assured he was a good guide and a government guide list without any information, I wasn’t happy with my options. So I build one.
Future potential of the app :
- Maybe it can a specific location specific app
- Maybe it can be a generic app where you can pick a location and it will transform into an app for that location.
